October 2018 - What a Busy Summer!

National Dragon Boat Finals in Nottingham 2018, amazing results for Bristol Empire Dragons this year:

• Winning the plate in open and mixed 200m
• Winning the minor cup in open and mixed 500m
• 7th overall over 2km (out of 17 boats)
• Our joint crews also pulled off great results with the u18s and women's winning their categories and the seniors coming second.

It was a great way to end the season and all this goes to show what Bristol is capable of.

September 2018 - Something a Bit Different You Say..Oh, Go on Then.

A few crew members put Bristol’s name out in the raft world today!

Came into the race expecting to place in the midfield at best, and as an unknown to the rest of the crews being our first race as Bristol. Ended up coming away with 1st in mixed and 3rd overall out of 17 rafts as 1st place got disqualified to the shock of all the other crews! Great effort put in and a big thanks to Lee, Stephanie, Pippa and Tom for coming today, will be great if we can get a raft for next year's season. To be continued…

July 2018 - Purple Warriors

We are wishing our fellow Purple Warriors well in the world championships in Hungary - so honoured to train with a few of your crew and we support and cheer you on all the way. Dig deep and don't leave anything in that boat......give me a Ooh Arrrrr!!!!

8th July 2018 - Nottingham Race

We won the plate 200m and our time was faster than all the crews in the final above us (cup minor) and 6th place overall in the 2.8km. Big thanks to the crew who made this happen!

June 30th 2018 - Milton Keynes Race

Bringing home bling! 3rd 200m plate and 1st 470m plate

June 10th 2018 - Exeter Race

Great race today, thank you for all the commitment for everyone who made this happen.
We pulled off a great result finishing 5th in both the 200s and 500s

March 2018 - 13th European Dragon Boat Championships

We are proud to announce that 7 of our juniors have been selected for the GB U18 dragon boat squad who will be representing the UK at the 13th European dragon boat championships in Brandenburg this summer.

They have all worked incredibly hard to achieve this and their success is well deserved. Last year 4 of our juniors secured a gold medal and 3 bronze medals at the world championships in Divonne les Bains, France.
